Director of Revenue

About the role

The Director of Revenue at Sofitel Queenstown leads the development and execution of revenue strategies that maximise market share, average daily rate (ADR) and total hotel revenue. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior leader works closely with sales, marketing and operations to drive profitability while upholding the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deploy the revenue management (RM) strategy, including business mix, pricing and brand positioning.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and pricing processes for both business and leisure segments.
• Analyse current and historical demand, competitor sets, STR data and market trends to inform pricing and inventory decisions.
• Monitor third‑party intelligence (OTA, GDS, market studies) and identify revenue opportunities.
• Ensure rate parity, website policies and distribution rules are adhered to across all channels.
• Drive the web distribution strategy to grow direct bookings and optimise indirect channels.
• Provide comprehensive RM performance reporting and recommend sales actions based on identified risks and opportunities.
• Oversee RM training, processes, systems and tools to ensure consistent usage across the property.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in revenue management within the luxury hotel segment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
• Excellent collaboration skills, able to influence cross‑functional teams including sales, marketing and operations.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor intelligence and distribution channels.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable revenue plans.
