Director of Revenue

About the role

The Director of Revenue at Sofitel Queenstown leads the development and execution of revenue strategies that maximise market share, average daily rate and total hotel revenue. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior leader works closely with sales, marketing and operations to drive profitability while upholding the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deploy the revenue management (RM) strategy, including business mix, pricing and brand positioning.
• Lead strategic planning, budgeting and marketing processes, challenging assumptions with senior management.
• Produce comprehensive RM performance reports and recommend sales actions based on risk and opportunity analysis.
• Monitor competitor sets using STR data and adjust pricing to maintain a competitive edge.
• Oversee RM training, processes, systems and tools to ensure consistent usage.
• Analyse demand, lost business and market trends to improve forecasting accuracy.
• Manage web distribution strategy, prioritising direct bookings over indirect channels.
• Ensure rate parity and compliance with pricing and distribution policies.
