Director of Operations – New Zealand

About the role

Lead New Zealand manufacturing operations for a growing global health and biologicals business. You will align site performance with the global strategy, acting as the primary operational link between the New Zealand site and global executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for New Zealand site operations.
• Lead production, engineering, safety, quality, cost, service, reliability and continuous‑improvement functions.
• Translate global manufacturing strategy into clear local execution plans.
• Monitor and improve performance across safety, quality, cost, service, reliability and throughput.
• Build capability within the site leadership team and reinforce accountability.
• Partner with Quality to ensure compliance with MPI, cGMP, FDA and company quality systems.
• Represent New Zealand operational needs with global functional leaders and communicate performance, risks and opportunities to executive stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lift site performance, develop leaders and drive operational discipline.
• Strong strategic and operational execution skills, with experience translating global direction into site‑level actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
