Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will partner with the CFO to drive financial performance across Aroa Biosurgery’s international operations. This 14‑month fixed‑term position provides strategic insight to senior leaders while overseeing reporting, treasury, tax and audit functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership on financial performance.
• Oversee monthly management reporting, P&L forecasts and Board reporting packs.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, quality, regulatory and R&D to deliver financial insights for decision‑making.
• Prepare half‑year and full‑year financial statements under IFRS.
• Lead the bi‑annual audit process to achieve an unqualified opinion.
• Manage international tax compliance, including transfer pricing and US filings.
• Supervise treasury, cash flow, working capital and banking facilities.
• Oversee payroll and delegated financial authorities.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Finance team.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification with 8‑10+ years of commercial finance experience.
• Big 4 background highly regarded.
• Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and IFRS.
• Proven people‑leadership and stakeholder‑engagement capability.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑changing environment; manufacturing sector exposure preferred.
