Direct Ship Team Lead

About the role

The Direct Ship Team Lead will oversee the Direct Ship function, ensuring that products move smoothly from our facilities to customers and suppliers. Based at the Highbrook site in East Tamaki, the role combines hands‑on leadership with process optimisation to support a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team handling Direct Ship operations, setting a positive example and managing escalated cases.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required products.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Monitor daily performance metrics and report on shipment status.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics or transport operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
• Ability to work both on‑site and remotely within a hybrid schedule.
