Digital Strategy and Transformation Lead

About the role

You will lead the digital transformation of leading New Zealand brands, acting as the architect of their digital future. The role combines strategic ownership, leadership, mentorship and direct client influence to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own digital strategy and transformation roadmap items for key client accounts.
• Support the development of the next generation of digital talent in New Zealand.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic clarity in a complex media and digital landscape.
• Identify emerging opportunities, drive innovation and collaborate with SBUs to ensure delivery.
• Help shape OMD’s digital capabilities to maintain market leadership in data‑driven transformation.

Required profile

• 7+ years building sophisticated digital strategies, with a media planning/buying background.
• Deep understanding of the full digital ecosystem: programmatic, SEM, SEO, social, CRM, attribution modeling and privacy‑first measurement.
• Proven track record of winning new business or expanding existing relationships through digital excellence.
• Confidence to mentor, challenge, influence and elevate digital offerings.
