Digital Learning Specialist – IT Training

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Learning Specialist to join our vocational IT institute in Newmarket, Auckland. In this full‑time position you will deliver hands‑on technology programmes that mirror real‑world industry environments, helping learners acquire the skills and confidence needed for their first IT role.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and assess training programmes in computer engineering, infrastructure and cloud technologies, ensuring alignment with NZQA standards.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work and maintain accurate progress records.
• Identify learners at risk, develop support plans and monitor their wellbeing throughout the course.
• Participate in moderation activities and contribute ideas for continuous programme improvement.
• Bring current industry insights into the classroom to enhance work‑readiness.

Required profile

• Solid professional experience in computer engineering, infrastructure or cloud environments.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching, coaching or informal facilitation.
• Strong commitment to student success and employability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse learner groups.
• Willingness to obtain or already hold training/assessment credentials.
