Diesel Technician – Service & Repair Trucks

About the role

Join a busy workshop in New Plymouth, supporting Taranaki’s transport industry by servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of trucks and trailers. You’ll work alongside an experienced team and have access to training from leading manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Complete modifications and custom repairs as required.
• Collaborate with the wider workshop team.
• Deliver high‑quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a diesel, truck or heavy‑vehicle workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
