DevOps Engineer – Build resilient platforms

About the role

Foodstuffs is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its Digital Operations team. You will design, build and continuously improve the platforms that power the co‑op’s retail, distribution and digital services, ensuring fast, secure and reliable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using modern DevSecOps practices to create scalable, secure and resilient platforms.
• Develop, optimise and support CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable deployments and rapid issue resolution.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency and system reliability while reducing manual effort.
• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform incidents, collaborating across engineering teams to restore services and prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to DevSecOps standards, operational documentation and best practices, and mentor teammates.
• Ensure business‑critical platforms remain secure, resilient and available 24/7, supporting stores, distribution centres and digital services.
• Promote a positive, collaborative culture aligned with Foodstuffs values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or similar role.
• Strong experience with CI/CD concepts and implementation.
