Detection Engineer – AI Trainer

About the role

Join DataAnnotation as a Detection Engineer – AI Trainer and help shape the next generation of AI‑driven cybersecurity tools. You will work remotely, set your own schedule, and collaborate with cutting‑edge models to validate and improve security content generated by AI.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated threat analyses, vulnerability assessments, and offensive security techniques for real‑world accuracy.
• Design and solve security‑focused technical problems that are used to train AI systems.
• Write clear technical explanations and security‑relevant code snippets.
• Provide feedback that directly influences the development of AI security models.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a cybersecurity role such as penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, detection engineering, DFIR, malware analysis, or threat intelligence.
• Comfortable navigating and patching a codebase.
• Fluent English with strong written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH) are a plus.
