Deputy Manager – Holiday Park Operations

About the role

The Holiday Park Deputy Manager will support the day‑to‑day operations of Ōrewa Beach Holiday Park, a busy 4‑star beachfront park. This full‑time permanent position works 40 hours per week on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and may require after‑hours on‑site presence for security and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Holiday Park Manager in overseeing daily park operations and step in as acting manager when required.
• Lead, coach and develop the operational team to deliver high‑quality service and maintenance.
• Manage health and safety compliance, contractor and supplier relationships.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.
• Contribute to planning, resourcing and continuous improvement across the wider holiday‑park portfolio.
• Provide after‑hours support for park security, duty of care and emergency situations.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
• Hands‑on leader who can execute tasks on time, within budget and to a high standard.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, able to manage multiple priorities in a customer‑centric environment.
• Passion for motivating teams and proven experience in facilities, service operations or hospitality management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Accurate data‑entry and administrative capabilities.
