About the role

Join the vibrant kitchen team at Ibis Wellington as a Demi Chef De Partie. You will work in a fast‑paced hotel environment, preparing a range of dishes for breakfast buffets, à la carte lunch and dinner service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate food production with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef de Parties to meet service requirements.
• Prepare and cook orders promptly while adhering to recipe specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area, complying with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor daily ingredient needs and communicate requirements to the Head Chef in advance.
• Control food waste and preparation costs by following standard procedures.
• Support any additional requests from hotel management as needed.

Required profile

• Passion for food and strong a la carte experience.
• Previous experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to work a rotating roster, seven days a week.
• Team player who thrives under pressure and adapts to guest needs.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (permanent residency or work visa).
