DC Manager

About the role

The company is a long‑established, Kiwi‑owned import and distribution business entering a new phase of growth. Reporting to the Operations Manager and General Manager, the DC Manager will lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations while driving strategic improvements to support scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a busy Distribution Centre.
• Manage and develop the warehouse team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Oversee inbound, storage and outbound processes, working hands‑on on the floor.
• Review and refine SOPs to create a scalable warehouse function.
• Identify and implement productivity, workflow and efficiency improvements.
• Champion health and safety, inventory accuracy and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support the next phase of operational growth.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Distribution Centre or Warehouse Manager in a busy operation.
• Proven track record of refining processes and improving performance.
• Ability to lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and build team buy‑in.
• Practical, hands‑on leadership style; comfortable rolling up sleeves.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (essential).
• Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.
• Understanding of logistics processes.
