Datacenter Technician

About the role

Sharon AI is building the infrastructure that powers next‑generation artificial intelligence. We are seeking a hands‑on Datacenter Technician to join our operations team and support the day‑to‑day management of critical AI‑focused infrastructure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain data‑centre hardware including servers, storage, networking equipment and racks.
• Perform structured cabling works across copper and fibre to industry standards.
• Support rack‑and‑stack deployments, hardware upgrades, migrations and decommissioning.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and infrastructure‑related issues.
• Maintain documentation such as layouts, asset registers and operational procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of power, cooling, airflow and physical infrastructure.
• Follow change‑management and ITIL‑aligned governance processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, vendors and stakeholders to ensure service reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in live data‑centre or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of server hardware, structured cabling and networking concepts.
• Experience with fibre and copper cabling installation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with switching, routing and enterprise infrastructure.
• Understanding of PDUs, UPS systems and cooling infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes; relevant certifications (CompTIA, ITIL) are a plus.
