Data Integrity Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Integrity Specialist to join the Human Resources Services team at the University of Auckland. Reporting to the HR Services Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy and reliability of employee data across HR and payroll systems such as Workday and aPay.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, validate and reconcile employee data across HR and payroll platforms.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies to support payroll accuracy.
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Address integration failures, data mismatches and processing issues.
• Produce data quality reports, dashboards and insights for stakeholders.
• Analyse trends and recommend improvements to data processes.
• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to enhance data structures.
• Develop and maintain data governance standards, definitions and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex data problems.
• Experience in HR or payroll data environments is desirable.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent position (37.5 hours per week).
• Salary range $87,000 – $118,000 NZD, with placement typically within $93,201 – $107,500 NZD.
