Data Engineer – Design and Build Scalable Data Platforms

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high‑performing data platforms and pipelines. The role involves working with large‑scale data ecosystems and modern cloud‑based technologies while ensuring data quality, validation, cleansing, and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Build and optimise solutions for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Implement modern data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and BI initiatives.
• Ensure data platforms are secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable for both real‑time and batch processing.
• Develop and maintain data validation, quality, and cleansing processes, including monitoring and alerting.
• Identify and resolve data anomalies, inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
• Establish best practices for data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
• Support data migration, modernisation, and integration across cloud and hybrid platforms.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining data platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
