Data Engineer Consultant – NZ

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer Consultant to join a dynamic team in New Zealand. You will work across the full stack of data solutions, from building backend data warehouses to delivering analytics and visual dashboards. The role emphasizes a growth mindset and the desire to learn from leading data experts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
• Create analytical dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Translate business requirements into conceptual and logical data models.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and user‑defined functions.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (mandatory).
• Experience in data modelling techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting.
