Data Consultant / Engineer – Databricks & DLT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Data Consultant/Engineer with strong client‑facing experience on Databricks and Delta Live Tables (DLT). The role involves designing, building and governing modern data platforms, ensuring secure and scalable pipelines for multiple organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Improve and optimise the Databricks platform for scalable, secure data solutions.
• Design and implement governance models, catalogs and metadata management, including Unity Catalog.
• Develop data pipelines using Delta Live Tables, Lakeflow connections and IaC tools.
• Apply data‑modelling techniques (star and snowflake schemas) for analytical and operational workloads.
• Lead source‑control adoption (Git/Azure DevOps) and build CI/CD pipelines for data engineering.
• Implement automated testing, data validation and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into governed data products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise with the Databricks platform, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Strong background in modelling structured and unstructured data.
• Proven experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Hands‑on attitude and ability to work directly with clients.
