Data Center IT Technician – AWS Data Centre Operations

About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for skilled Server/Network Technicians to join its Data Centre Operations team. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure that powers the AWS cloud, working closely with engineering and logistics teams in a fast‑paced, high‑density data‑center environment.
Key responsibilities
- Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal service level agreements.
- Diagnose and repair issues on server, storage, and network devices, including physical part replacement.
- Remediate physical power problems on racks and support power & cooling events.
- Maintain daily operations alongside engineering and logistics teams.
- Work rotating shifts (4 days on, 4 days off) including night shifts.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site travel.
- Ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting equipment.
- Willingness to work rotating shift schedules.
Required skills
- Server hardware troubleshooting.
- Network device configuration and repair.
- Storage device maintenance.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure environments.
