Data Center IT Technician – AWS Data Centre Operations

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for skilled Server/Network Technicians to join its Data Centre Operations team. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure that powers the AWS cloud, working alongside engineers, logistics specialists, and security experts in world‑class data centres.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal service level agreements.
• Diagnose and repair server, storage and network devices, including physical part replacement.
• Remediate physical power issues on racks and support power & cooling events.
• Perform shift work on a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off rotational schedule, including night shifts.
• Travel between sites using a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site travel.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights.
• Experience with server, storage and network hardware maintenance.
