Data & Automation Analyst

About the role

Stantec is seeking a Data & Automation Analyst to support water services projects in New Zealand. You will apply data analysis and automation techniques to improve project outcomes and help deliver sustainable engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise in automation, analytics, and data engineering to meet project requirements.
• Contribute to capability and knowledge sharing within the NZ Digital Practice.
• Build collaborative relationships and support a culture of knowledge sharing across the Digital Practice and relevant streams.
• Support client engagement activities, identify opportunities, and assist with business development aligned with Stantec strategies.
• Deliver robust data analytics and automated solutions on time and within project budgets.
• Promote and apply automation solutions within Stantec NZ and APAC for internal and external clients.
• Contribute technical input to project delivery across internal and external client projects.
• Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of digital products.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification desirable (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).
• Technical expertise in data analytics, automation, and data engineering.
• Experience with data and automation technologies and methodologies such as SQL, Python, R, Power Platform, Power BI, Tableau, and FME.
• Experience with geospatial data is desirable.
