Dairy Farm Assistant – Organic Farm

About the role

Join a high‑performing team at Earnslaw Dairy, a certified organic farm located just outside Taupo. As a Dairy Farm Assistant you will support daily farm operations, contributing to animal welfare, production targets, and a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with milking, calving, feeding, and general livestock care.
• Manage effluent, spray treatments, and maintain fencing.
• Support effluent management and farm hygiene protocols.
• Help with routine maintenance of the rotary milking shed and related equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production and health‑safety goals.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and take initiative on a busy farm.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proactive attitude toward animal welfare and health & safety.
• Current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of dairy farm operations (milking, feeding, animal handling).
