Dairy Farm Assistant (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Join Bell Hill Dairy’s high‑performing team for a fixed‑term position (July 1 – December 18 2026). You will gain hands‑on experience across all aspects of dairy farming in a modern, progressive operation located in the Greymouth/Lake Brunner region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with milking, calving, feeding, and general stock care.
• Support animal health and welfare activities, including spraying and health monitoring.
• Participate in shed and herd management using a 60‑bail rotary milking system.
• Maintain farm equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Contribute to daily farm operations and collaborative team tasks.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, hands‑on attitude with a genuine interest in dairy farming.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach, commitment to animal welfare and health & safety.
• Current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence.
