Customer Specialist – Te Awamutu

About the role

As a Customer Specialist you will be the face of ASB for many of our customers. Each day you will support everyday banking, identify opportunities to help customers reach their goals, and guide them through our digital banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with routine banking transactions and enquiries.
• Identify and recommend products or services that align with customers’ financial objectives.
• Guide customers in using ASB’s digital banking tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Help maintain smooth branch operations and support overall service delivery.

Required profile

• Loves helping people and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Builds trust and meaningful relationships with ease.
• Learns quickly and enjoys developing new skills.
• Confident using technology and assisting others with digital tools.
• Positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Experience in customer‑facing roles such as retail, hospitality, sales, banking or contact centres.
• Banking experience is helpful but not essential; training will be provided.
