Customer Specialist – Takapuna

About the role

ASB is seeking a Customer Specialist to join its Takapuna branch. The role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who enjoy helping people and solving everyday banking queries.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling a variety of routine banking transactions.
• Build genuine relationships and understand each customer’s financial needs.
• Educate customers on digital and self‑service banking tools.
• Ask probing questions to identify needs and deliver personalised solutions.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Required profile

• Recently completed university studies or early in your career.
• Enjoys talking to people and building relationships.
• Experience in customer‑facing environments such as retail, hospitality, tourism or community organisations.
• Confident using technology and quick to learn new systems.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, curious attitude.
