Customer Service & Warehouse Associate (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Laminex New Zealand is seeking a motivated team member to support both customer service and warehouse operations at its Palmerston North branch. This 12‑month fixed‑term position covers a parental‑leave period and offers a blend of office‑based order handling and hands‑on stock management.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and process email, online and phone orders.
• Enter and manage orders in the internal system.
• Assist walk‑in customers and handle counter sales.
• Prepare paperwork and coordinate dispatch of goods.
• Receive inbound deliveries and replenish stock.
• Pick, pack and process orders as required.
• Support regular stock takes.
• Operate a forklift to load/unload products when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in customer service or internal sales (building industry experience is a plus).
• Confidence processing orders across multiple channels (face‑to‑face, email, online).
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to support both service and warehouse functions.
• Collaborative mindset and readiness to assist team members.
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
• Forklift operation certification.
