Customer Service & Rental Operations Consultant

About the role

Join Avis Budget Group in Tauranga as a Rental Operations Consultant, where you will combine front‑desk customer service with back‑of‑house vehicle preparation. This full‑time position offers a dynamic environment at the airport, supporting both sales and operational tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers at the counter, promote products and services, and process rental contracts and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and maintenance needs, drive and park cars, and perform interior and exterior cleaning in the wash bay.
• Maintain accurate rental records using company computer systems.
• Adhere to company procedures, safety standards, and service guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid, clean Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer‑service roles.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, including weekends and varied shift patterns.
• Willingness to learn and use multiple computer systems.
