Customer Service Consultant – Contact Centre

About the role

As a Customer Service Consultant in ANZ’s New Zealand Contact Centre, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance with retail, cards and digital banking solutions. The role is phone‑based initially, with opportunities to expand across multiple channels as you develop.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound customer enquiries via telephone.
• Provide clear, empathetic guidance on banking products, card services and digital platforms.
• Resolve issues promptly while adhering to compliance and quality standards.
• Document interactions accurately in the bank’s systems.
• Identify opportunities to promote relevant products and services.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Strong empathy and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage routine enquiries efficiently.
• Residency in New Zealand (NZ resident, NZ citizen or Australian citizen).
• Willingness to commit to onsite learning and training.
