Customer Billing Specialist

About the role

Join NZ Post’s Finance Operations team in Wellington Central as a Customer Billing Specialist. You will support billing activities, resolve customer queries, and ensure that invoices are accurate and delivered on time, helping both internal and external customers enjoy a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process and support customer billing activities, including adjustments and query resolution.
• Ensure billing information is accurate, timely, and meets customer expectations.
• Collaborate closely with the Credit Control team to achieve key targets.
• Identify and contribute to process‑improvement projects that enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Work flexibly with other Finance Operations functions to meet team objectives.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a strong phone manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and a team‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
• Proactive, quick to learn new tasks and systems.
• Comfortable using a variety of systems and processes.
• Experience in a large or complex organisation with a strong customer focus; experience in Accounts Receivable or Customer Billing is an advantage but not essential.

• Proficiency with standard office software and billing systems.
