Court Victim Advisor

About the role
This permanent, full‑time position is based at the Manukau District Court and supports victims of crime through the court process. You will keep victims informed about the progress of their cases and help them engage effectively with the criminal justice system.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely updates to victims on case developments.
- Facilitate victims' participation in court proceedings.
- Collaborate with court staff, police, and community agencies.
- Maintain accurate records of victim interactions.
- Advise victims on available support services.
Required profile
- Resilient and calm when working with people affected by serious crime, especially family violence.
- Strong communicator with sound judgment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated multicultural awareness and competence.
- Reflects the local community and embraces inclusive values.
