Court Registry Support Officer

About the role
The Court Registry Support Officer provides essential administrative and customer‑facing support to ensure the smooth operation of New Zealand courts. Working on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis, you will collaborate with Registry Officers, the Judiciary and a range of justice‑sector partners.
Key responsibilities
- Support courtroom operations and assist during court hearings.
- Deliver professional frontline customer service in person and by phone.
- Manage court files, correspondence and registry documentation.
- Coordinate mail, supplies, travel bookings and other administrative processes.
- Assist jurors, court users and justice‑sector stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and data across court systems.
Required profile
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a busy environment.
- Confident communication with a wide range of people.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective use of technology and administrative systems.
- Understanding of, or commitment to, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural capability.
- Experience in administration, customer service, reception or a similar support role is beneficial.
