Court Registry Officer – Justice Services

About the role

The Court Registry Officer supports the smooth operation of district courts in the Auckland region. You will work closely with judges, jurors, and court users, ensuring that court proceedings run efficiently and that all parties have the information they need.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate court taking, including introducing judges in English and Te Reo Māori and managing courtroom logistics.
• Oversee case management, ensuring timely distribution of case materials and coordination of schedules.
• Provide front‑line customer service to the public, jurors, legal professionals, and court staff via face‑to‑face, phone, and email.
• Maintain accurate court records and support administrative functions within the courtroom and chambers.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Resilient and able to handle sensitive or high‑volume situations.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing legislation and court processes.
