Court Registry Officer

About the role

The Court Registry Officer supports the smooth operation of the district courts in the Auckland region. You will work closely with judges, jurors, and court staff, ensuring that court proceedings run efficiently and that all parties have the information they need.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate court taking, including introducing judges in English and Te Reo Māori and managing courtroom logistics.
• Oversee case management, ensuring timely access to case information for the judiciary and parties.
• Provide high‑quality customer service to the public, handling inquiries face‑to‑face, by phone, or email.
• Manage juror administration and general court administration tasks.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong observational skills.
• Self‑aware and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of multitasking and handling conflicting priorities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing legislation and court processes.
• Resilience when dealing with sensitive or high‑volume cases.
