Court Registry Officer

About the role
The Court Registry Officer will join the North Shore District Court family jurisdiction team, supporting the smooth operation of the court. You will interact with judges, jurors, legal professionals and the public, ensuring that court processes run efficiently and respectfully.
Key responsibilities
- Court taking – introduce judges in English and Te Reo Māori, assist them in courtroom and chambers, manage jurors and handle general court administration.
- Customer service – respond to face‑to‑face, phone and email enquiries from defendants, witnesses, families, Oranga Tamariki, lawyers and police.
- Case management – maintain accurate case files, perform extensive data entry and keep records up to date.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service orientation with confident decision‑making.
- Detail‑oriented, observant and able to manage multiple, repetitive tasks.
- Self‑aware, resilient and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing legislation and court procedures.
