Court Registry Officer

About the role
The Court Registry Officer supports the smooth operation of the Wanganui District Court. You will interact with judges, legal professionals, and the public, ensuring court processes run efficiently and courteously.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate court taking, including introducing judges in English and Te Reo Māori and providing courtroom and chambers support.
- Deliver front‑line customer service, responding to queries face‑to‑face, by phone or email.
- Manage case files, maintain accurate records and perform data‑entry tasks to keep case information up to date.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service orientation with confident decision‑making.
- Detail‑oriented, observant and able to handle repetitive, high‑volume tasks.
- Self‑aware, resilient and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing legislation and court procedures.
Required skills

- Annual salary band ranging from $60,729 to $80,000 (NZD) per year.
