About the role
The Court Registry Officer supports the smooth operation of the District Court in Waitakere, Auckland. You will interact with judges, jurors, and the public, ensuring court processes run efficiently and professionally.
Key responsibilities
- Court Taking – introduce judges in English and Te Reo Māori, manage courtroom and chambers activities, and oversee juror administration.
- Case Management – provide judges and parties with accurate case information and coordinate logistics for timely hearings.
- Customer Service – respond to face‑to‑face, phone, and email enquiries, delivering clear and courteous assistance.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented and observant, with a focus on accuracy.
- Self‑aware and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of multitasking and handling conflicting priorities.
- Eager to learn and adapt to changing legislation and court procedures.
- Resilient when dealing with sensitive or high‑volume cases.
