Cost Controller – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Cost Controller to join the team delivering New Zealand's largest transport infrastructure project – the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana (Ara Tūhono). You will work closely with the finance manager and delivery team to monitor, analyse and control project costs, ensuring financial performance aligns with schedule and scope.

Key responsibilities

• Track critical path milestones and support schedule reporting.
• Monitor cost codes, budgets and monthly forecast variances.
• Review daily production and productivity data.
• Identify and document project risks and opportunities.
• Track change requests affecting time and cost.
• Support procurement actions and subcontract deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records across cost management systems.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in accounting, finance, quantity surveying or a related field.
• Experience in cost control, project controls or project accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence engaging diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with project cost management systems.
