Corporate and Finance Lawyer

About the role

We are looking for a transactional lawyer to join our high‑performing Corporate and Finance team. You will work alongside three Partners with significant international experience, advising national and international clients on a variety of domestic and cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on asset and aviation finance, primarily international.
• Handle property finance, project finance (energy and infrastructure), and acquisition finance matters.
• Lead mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory and structuring engagements.
• Develop client relationships and support business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners and senior lawyers to deliver high‑quality legal solutions.

Required profile

• Commercially minded transactional lawyer with 2‑6+ years PQE.
• Admitted in New Zealand or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Strong client‑service focus with experience in corporate or banking & finance sectors.
• Proactive attitude, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills.
