Contracts Manager – Airport Projects

About the role

Auckland Airport is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the development, negotiation and management of contracts for a variety of projects and services across New Zealand's busiest airport. The role ensures all agreements support strategic objectives, comply with legal and regulatory standards, and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and negotiate contracts for diverse airport projects and services.
• Ensure contracts meet legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to align contract terms with project goals.
• Monitor contract performance, compliance and resolve disputes.
• Develop and implement contract management policies and procedures.
• Provide training and support on contract best practices.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, preferably in construction or aviation.
• Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes and negotiation strategies.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Relevant qualifications in law, business administration or related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
