Contract Senior Frontend Web Developer (React)

About the role

We are seeking a Contract Senior Frontend Web Developer with strong React expertise to join our established team. You will work on large‑scale web applications that make a real impact for users, collaborating in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex React web applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features in two‑week sprints.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure code quality through unit testing.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions, especially around micro‑services integration.
• Leverage modern AI tooling to improve development efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of front‑end development experience using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with React.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and familiar with micro‑services architecture.
• Ability to write unit tests and work with CI/CD pipelines.
• Current right to work in New Zealand; Christchurch‑based preferred but remote candidates across NZ are considered.
