Construction Worker – Piling & Ground Engineering

About the role

Join a specialist team delivering piling and ground engineering works on major infrastructure projects across New Zealand. This hands‑on, physical role offers varied daily tasks and the chance to develop high‑skill construction expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Work with piling crews and support plant on‑site, including piling rigs and cranes.
• Assist with bored piles, driven piles, anchors, and ground‑improvement works.
• Perform rigging, lifting, concrete pumping, and reinforcement placement.
• Set up sites and keep operations running efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with operators, foremen, and engineers.
• Maintain a strict, safety‑first work environment.

Required profile

• Experience in civil construction, piling, drilling, or heavy groundworks.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Good awareness of health & safety on active construction sites.
• Confidence working around machinery and heavy equipment.
• Class 1 licence (WTR or Class 2 + a bonus).
• Practical, hands‑on mindset with willingness to learn.
