Construction Supervisor – Residential Projects

About the role

G.J. Gardner Homes Waipa is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor / Project Manager to lead multiple residential builds across the Waipa region. You will oversee projects from pre‑start to completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage residential construction projects from start to finish.
• Schedule and coordinate trades, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor build quality, programme timeframes, and health & safety compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain clear communication with clients.
• Resolve day‑to‑day site challenges and support continuous improvement of processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience supervising residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand residential building practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and solutions‑focused.
• Positive, team‑first attitude.

Required skills

• LBP (preferred but not essential)
