Compounding Technician

About the role

Baxter is hiring a Compounding Technician for its Mt. Wellington facility in Auckland on a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend and permanent positions available. The role covers the aseptic production process: manufacturing chemotherapy, antibiotics and nutritional products for hospitals and patients, including preparing and compounding sterile medications and solutions according to established protocols. Key responsibilities

• Pick and prepare raw materials
• Aseptically compound (mix) sterile solutions or syringes
• Pack finished units for each order, including final inspection of products
• Label and dispatch prepared products
• Complete documentation in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures

Required profile

• Attention to detail and ability to work in a cleanroom environment part of the day
• Able to lift up to 10 kg regularly
• Highly productive
• Good understanding of basic mathematics
• Flexible to work alternative hours occasionally, as the roster may change
• Unrestricted work rights and ability to work full time for any employer in ANZ

Required skills

• Pre-employment medical including stringent vision screening (GMP requirement)
• Background and reference checks
• Compliance with mask fit test requirements

Working hours are 8 hours per day between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, with flexibility to cover alternative hours. The successful candidate receives full training and works alongside site trainers and coaches until fully competent.
