Compliance Manager

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead governance and assurance activities on a major transport infrastructure project in New Zealand. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will safeguard contractual integrity and ensure regulatory obligations are met throughout construction and operational phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance frameworks, governance processes, and assurance systems for the project.
• Monitor and enforce contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project stages.
• Coordinate compliance across multiple contract interfaces, ensuring clear accountability.
• Manage audit and assurance activities, preparing reports for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP or project‑finance environments.
• Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi‑party delivery models.
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence technical and commercial teams.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of compliance and governance best practices for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with audit and risk‑assessment methodologies.
