Compliance Accountant – Private Enterprise Team

About the role

Join KPMG's Private Enterprise Delivery & Data Excellence team in Hamilton as a Compliance Accountant. You will work with a diverse client portfolio, applying new technologies and processes to deliver accurate technical accounting and tax compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance deliverables for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Deliver high‑quality technical compliance work, applying accounting and tax knowledge to resolve issues.
• Build strong relationships with engagement teams and support efficient delivery of compliance services.
• Coach and review the work of junior team members.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the Delivery & Data Excellence team.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of professional accounting compliance experience.
• Completed or near‑completion of a tertiary degree in Accounting.
• Working towards or holding CA ANZ, CPA or equivalent overseas qualification.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with a professional client focus.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounting systems.
