About the role

The Communities and Partnerships Lead will shape and nurture the relationships that enable Auckland Pride to thrive. This senior specialist position blends strategic thinking with relational storytelling to build credibility, influence, and resources through values‑aligned partnerships, sponsorships, and community‑grounded advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a partnership strategy that aligns with Auckland Pride’s mission and values.
• Identify, secure, and manage sponsorships and collaborative agreements with businesses, NGOs, and community groups.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the organisation, representing its kaupapa with integrity.
• Facilitate community‑grounded advocacy initiatives that amplify LGBTQ+ voices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate partnership opportunities into measurable outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of partnership activities and report on impact.
