Communications Specialist

About the role

Join T&G’s high‑performing Corporate Affairs team as a Communications Specialist. You will help shape the reputation and culture of one of New Zealand’s most iconic food businesses, working closely with senior leaders, growers, media and a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver compelling stories that highlight the company’s purpose and growth initiatives.
• Manage media relations, including pitching journalists and handling enquiries.
• Support senior leaders with communication materials, speeches and presentations.
• Oversee the production of the Annual Report and other corporate publications.
• Create digital content for internal and external audiences.
• Engage with growers and other external partners to communicate key messages.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, public affairs, journalism or a related field.
• Strong storytelling ability and a curiosity for uncovering insights.
• Proven capability to build trusted relationships quickly.
• Comfortable working across all organisational levels, from orchard teams to executive leadership.
• Energetic, collaborative and eager to learn.
