Communications Specialist

About the role

Join the high‑performing Corporate Affairs team at T&G, one of New Zealand’s iconic food businesses. As a Communications Specialist you will help shape the narrative, protect the brand reputation and engage a wide range of audiences including employees, growers, media and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver compelling stories that highlight the company’s purpose and growth initiatives.
• Manage media relations, including pitching journalists and handling enquiries.
• Support senior leaders with communication materials, speeches and presentations.
• Oversee the production of the Annual Report and other stakeholder communications.
• Create digital content for internal and external channels.
• Collaborate with orchard, packhouse and executive teams to translate complex information into clear messaging.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, public affairs, journalism or a related field.
• Strong storytelling ability and a curiosity for uncovering insights.
• Proven track record of building trusted relationships quickly.
• Comfortable engaging with media and senior stakeholders.
• Adaptable, collaborative and eager to learn.
