Communications & Events Specialist

About the role

The Communications & Events Specialist will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing communications and events across multiple customer segments, including health, life, iwi and international visitors. The role supports business growth by creating memorable experiences, maximising sponsorship activations and ensuring brand‑consistent messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver effective marketing and business communications for diverse audiences.
• Plan, execute and evaluate high‑quality internal and external events from concept to completion.
• Manage event logistics, stakeholder engagement, budgets and vendor relationships.
• Leverage sponsorship opportunities to create impactful brand activations.
• Ensure all communications and events align with brand standards and business objectives.
• Collaborate with sales, product, marketing and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience delivering communications, coordinating events and supporting marketing initiatives.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or health sectors is highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder management, business acumen and ability to deliver corporate events end‑to‑end.
• Proven ability to measure campaign effectiveness and apply insights for improvement.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging copy.
