Communications and Engagement Advisor

About the role

The Communications and Engagement Advisor will join Tiaki Wai’s small, high‑performing team in Petone to lead and support communications, marketing and social media initiatives that raise awareness and encourage positive behaviour change across the community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic communications and engagement advice for key projects.
• Plan, execute and evaluate multi‑channel social marketing campaigns that drive public behaviour change.
• Manage Tiaki Wai’s brand value and reputation across digital and social platforms.
• Create engaging content for a variety of organisational initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support technical experts and leadership teams.

Required profile

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in brand management and multi‑channel communications.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands.
• Curious, flexible and willing to roll up sleeves to pivot as needed.
• Ability to identify opportunities that enhance reputation and social licence.

• Salary range $80,369–$113,464 NZD per year (including KiwiSaver).
